TERMS & CONDITIONS
All reference to “Leadout” refers to Leadout Events Ltd and includes Leadout Events, Leadout Services and Leadout Staff. Reference to the Leadout “Client” refers to the End-Consumers / Participant / Member. Leadout “Events” refer to the following:

1. Period of sale:
1.1. Event entries are on sale from Event launch until the quota of entries and extra-services packages for sale are reached.
1.2. Leadout reserves the right to organise a waiting list in order to propose entries / extra-services packages in case of Client cancellation.
1.3. Entries are sold on a first come, first served basis.
2. Event Entries
2.1. To place an order the Client must be 18 years of age on or before the start date of the Event.
2.2. Client may place an Event order by:
2.2.1. Logging on to the Leadout website and purchasing an Event product.
2.2.2. Leadout will accept group bookings paid via invoice. Invoices will need to be paid in full for the order to be complete and the Client to take part in the Event.
2.3. By placing an order the Client accepts these terms and conditions.
2.4. Whilst Leadout will make every effort to supply the Client with the Products listed on the Leadout website, there may be occasions where Leadout is unable to supply these Products. In such circumstances, Leadout will contact the Client to inform him/her and may suggest alternative Products that the Client might wish to purchase.
3. Payment
3.1. Leadout Event entries are only in Sterling.
3.2. All Event balances must be paid in full before the participant can ride the event.
4. Registration Conditions
4.1. Client is responsible for ensuring their own readiness for the Event. Leadout are not responsible for Client’s preparedness for riding the course.
4.2. Client is responsible to ensure their bike is in a serviceable state to complete the Event.
4.3. Each Client agrees at point of registration that they are physically and mentally capable of riding the distance of the Event.
4.4. If the situation arises that the Client is not capable of making the decision to call the emergency services following an accident, a member of Leadout, or the public may call for them.
4.5. Client must conduct themselves in a manner that does not discredit themselves or Leadout.
4.6. Client to be considerate of other users of the road and obey all Highway Code rules.
4.7. Client to respect the countryside and communities who live there. Stopping for a comfort break to be discrete and appropriate and not cause offence to local residents or other Clients.
4.8. Client to wear a cycling helmet complying with latest EN1078, ANSI Z90/4 or SNELL standards. Any Client found not conforming with this term will not be allowed to start or will be removed from the Event if started.
4.9. Client must not to drop or leave any litter on any part of the route and to dispose of it responsibly at an appropriate place or bin. Any rider found littering will be disqualified from the event.
4.10. Each Client grants Leadout an exclusive, absolute and irrevocable worldwide assignment in perpetuity in the photographs/film/video/electronic representations and/or sound recordings
of the Client obtained at the event and grants them the right to use and publish such content in any and all media. The Client hereby releases Leadout from any and all liability from such use and promotion. The Client hereby authorises the reproduction, copyright, exhibit, broadcast, electronic storage and/or distribution of said photographs/film/video tapes/electronic representations and/or sound recordings without limitation at the discretion of Leadout. The Client specifically waives any right to any compensation they may have for appearing in any of the photographs/film/video/electronic representations and/or sound recordings of the Clients at a Leadout event.
5. Client Cancellation
Multi-day event entries and extra-services / upgrades are only refundable or transferable in the following circumstances:
5.1. Substitution: If for any reason a Client is unable to attend he/she is able to nominate a substitute for the entry. Substitutions are available up to 60 business days prior to the Event start date. All extra-services / upgrades purchased as part of the entry must be transferred to the new Client. No partial refunds will be issued for transferred entries, extra-services / upgrades.
5.1.2. Substitution can only happen once per entry.
5.2. Refund: Leadout will refund the Client as follows:
5.2.1. 17 Weeks + before the Event start date: 66% of the full entry fee paid including any extra services and upgrades
5.2.2. 13-16 weeks before the Event start date: 33% of the full entry fee paid including any extra services and upgrades
5.2.3. 0-12 weeks before the Event start date: 0% of the full entry fee paid including any extra services and upgrades
5.3. Deferment: Subject to availability, Clients are entitled to defer to another Leadout Event in the same, or following calendar year:
5.3.1. The client is only able to request a deferral up to 12 weeks before the start date of the registered Event.
5.3.2. Both the full entry fee including any extra services and upgrades can be credited towards another Event.
5.3.3. The Client can only request a deferral once. If the Client then decides to cancel the subsequent Event they are not entitled to any refund.
5.3.4. The Client will need to pay for any balance in entry price of the deferred Event against the full entry price of the new Event.
5.3.5. Leadout will not refund any balances if the new Event costs are less than the original Event.
6. Insurance
6.1. Leadout requires each Client to book personal travel insurance for loss, injury or damage that he/she might sustain arising from participation in the Event. Leadout will request policy information at the time of Client booking and must be provided no later than 30 days prior to the Event start date.
6.2. Leadout recommends third party cancellation insurance packages for Clients at point of booking.
6.3. Leadout recommends the Client has bike insurance cover during the event. If a Client takes advantage of the Bike Repatriation option they do so understanding that whilst every care is taken when transporting bikes, the risk and responsibility of adequate insurance is that of the owner.
7. Leadout Cancellation
7.1. If Leadout cancels the Event for circumstances other than listed in Section 8, Force Majeure, Leadout shall return the full amount of any deposits and pre-payments to the Client made according to the amount invoiced to the Client. No compensation will be given to the Client for other costs (direct or indirect) related to the Event entry e.g. transportation fee, accommodation, family expenses (travel, hotels).
7.2. In the instance that Leadout has been forced to postpone the event due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Client will be automatically transferred to the revised date. Should the Client not be able to make the revised date they may nominate a substitute for the entry.
8. Force Majeure
Leadout shall not be liable hereunder by reason of any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations on account of strikes, shortages, riots, insurrection, fires, flood, storm, explosions, acts of God, war, governmental action, labour conditions, earthquakes or any other cause which is beyond the reasonable control of Leadout.

10. Limitation of liability
In no event will Leadout be liable to Clients or Third Party under this Agreement for the cost of procuring substitute goods or services, lost profits, lost revenue, lost sales, loss of use, loss of data or any incidental, consequential, direct, indirect, punitive, or special damages, whether or not such party had advanced notice of the possibility of such losses or damages.
WAIVER
Participants hereby acknowledge that they take part in a Leadout Event and all functions and Events related thereto entirely at their own risk.
Participants hereby agree for themselves, their executors, administrators, heirs, next-of-kin, successors and assigns to waive release and discharge and shall neither have nor institute any claims whatsoever against Leadout Ltd and its directors, trustees and shareholders, local provincial and national governmental authorities, participating clubs, Event sponsors and other involved organisations (‘the Entities’) and their employees, agents or contractors to the fullest extent permissible under the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 or any other applicable law.
Participants hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Entities and their employees, agents or contractors from all liability and claims made by other individuals or entities as a result of any of the Participant’s actions during the Event.
This waiver and indemnity covers death, disability, personal injury, damage to and loss of property of a participant (including theft of or damage to a bicycle in areas under the control of the Entities and the Individuals) and is effective whether or not such death, injury, damage or loss may have been caused directly or indirectly or wholly or partly by any act or omission including negligence, of any of the Entities or their respective servants agents and contractors and will bind the heirs, executors and/or trustees of the estate of a participant.
Persons signing this indemnity as the parent and/or guardian of a minor hereby agree to such minor being bound by the foregoing waiver and indemnity, and do hereby further indemnify and hold harmless the Entities against any and all liability and claims by such minor to the extent if any to which such minor is not capable of waiving his rights as stipulated above.
Should liability be found to exist in respect of any one of the Entities for any reason then that liability shall not exist in respect of the other Entities unless specific grounds exist for liability on the part of the other Entity or Entities.
